WEED KICKS ASS! |
<--- My lovely art work. hehe. So I suck ok, hehe. ;P Anyways I just dont understand why this world doesnt legalize weed, hell id make me happy. ;P Well here is a lil thingy I wrote about weed so if you have time read this.... Most people only look at the bad sides of marijuana such as the fact it's a psychoactive drug, or that it might be increased if it were legalized. The receptor in the brain, called the cannabinoid receptor, that reacts to the active ingredient in marijuana smoke, THC is completely separate that respond to alcohol as well as other drugs and has a very different effects in terms of potential for addiction. THC does not effect dopamine production. Because of this marijuana has a lower risk of becoming addictive. Over the past few years, the government has based its arguments on these. The first is that the marijuana of the 1990's is much stronger than it was in the 1970's. In a way this is true because there is as much as a 14% THC content that weren't around in the 1970's but this is very rare and expensive. The research that found marijuana to be much more potent now, compared this variety to some weak varieties of the seventies, which still exist today. This variety has a very low THC content and the samples were probably stoned improperly. The final argument is that marijuana is the "gate-way drug" to other drugs, also bends the truth a lot. The gateway theory states that marijuana users are more likely to use cocain than non-marijuana users. What it doesn't say, is that to get this number, the researchers divided the percentage of marijuana users. who have tried cocaine, (17 percent) by the percentage of people who use marijuana, but not cocaine (0.2 percent) and disorted the outcome to make it seem to say. "eighty-five times as many marijuana users also use cocaine than do not use cocaine because of the gateway effect" Ok, well it kinda sucked, but owell. | ||||||||||||||||
